MY RUNNING PLAYLIST & WHY I STARTED RUNNING

If you’re having trouble getting motivated to work out, it’s likely that you haven’t discovered the proper music yet!

Today I’m going to share my jogging playlist with the music I like to work out to, and it’s so terrifying that I’m almost crapping my pants sitting in the chair I just got.

Workout Insight! My motivational music playlist for jogging and exercising! These tracks will make working out a breeze!

Believe it or not, I’ve never been more hesitant to publish an article in my life.

Why?

People are quite judgmental when it comes to music. Many people would form opinions about your IQ, employment, hobbies, and lifestyle based on your musical tastes.

Music, on the other hand, is simply music. Listening to Mozart does not make you a better person than listening to Taylor Swift.

Now, here’s my playlist, and if you’re thinking, “Wow, this playlist is from 2013,” you’d be correct. I’m not sure when I created it, but I discovered it lately on my phone and it makes me want to run as fast as I can.

WHY I BEGAN RUNNING

Don’t get me wrong: just because I began running doesn’t mean I do it every day. I even miss weeks, but I always return to it because I like it.

So I did it because I was weary of all the other exercises. I was tired of doing everything 12 times, and I missed just playing outdoors like a child.

I like basketball and badminton, but I must rely on others to do so. I wanted something I could do whenever my mind was ready to burst or I needed a pick-me-up.

And running became the answer.

But I didn’t simply want to run; I wanted to put myself to the test. Let’s see how quickly I can go. Let’s see how far I can go. I wanted to feel liberated and as if I could soar. I know that seems ridiculous, but I haven’t felt this fantastic working out in a long time.

MUSIC WAS VERY HELPFUL.

Music helped me forget about the agony in my legs, and the fact that I was sweating, straining, and possibly not breathing properly.

Even if I was doing it incorrectly, I was still breathing and running as quickly as I could, and it felt great.

My back discomfort vanished, and I felt 10 pounds lighter as if a weight had been taken off of me. I felt liberated and content.

It didn’t feel nearly like that without the music. I still felt fantastic, but I had to work more, and it wasn’t the same.

So, whichever sort of workout you choose — jogging, walking, or weightlifting — throw on some music and simply enjoy the “trip.”

I’m telling you, podcasts are fantastic, and they will transform your life, but sometimes all we need to go ahead is music.

MY RUNNING PLAYLIST

So, here’s my (very brief) playlist. Yes, as a young white girl, these are the only two 2Pac songs I am familiar with.

Outkast’s “Hey Ya”

“Can’t Hold Us” — Macklemore & Ryan Lewis (feat. Ray Dalton)

“Changes” by 2Pac featuring Talent.

Lenny Kravitz’s “Are You Gonna Go My Way?”

2Pac and Dr. Dre’s “California Love”

LMFAO’s “Sexy and I Know It”

Beyoncé’s “Crazy in Love”

That’s all…

I run as fast as I can to this, take a few pauses here and there, and then the music simply encourages me to do it again. I hope some of these tunes will help you with your exercises as well!
